6 Celebrities Who are Proud to be Vegan

When first going vegan it’s always nice to have someone to look to for inspiration. Whether it’s a friend who has been vegan for years or a celebrity you admire. There are more celebrity vegans than you may realize and many of them are veteran vegan influencers.

We’ve compiled a list of A-list celebrities that inspire us, and we hope they inspire you too!

1.Joaquin Phoenix

An avid animal rights activist and the voice of the documentary Earthlings, Joaquin Phoenix is a great source for vegan inspiration. He’s been vegan since age 3 and has used his celebrity to fight for animal rights. 

2. Madelaine Petsch

This Riverdale actress reports being vegan her whole life. She told people magazine that being vegan “keeps her body fueled and running smoothly” We agree Cheryl Blossom, we agree. 

3. Alicia Silverstone

Three years after filming Clueless, Alicia Silverstone decided to go vegan. She reports her skin and nails looking better and she feels healthier. 

4. Woody Harrelson

Woody Harrelson has been vegan for 10 years and has spoken out in interviews about being vegan. When talking about the state of our world, Harrelson has said “We have to try to live harmoniously.” 

5. Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman is another happy vegan and animal activist. Like Joaquin Phoenix she also narrated an animal rights documentary. The powerful documentary is called Eating Animals and provides and eye-opening look at the practices of factory farms. 

6. Ellen DeGeneres

Ellen DeGeneres has been very vocal about being vegan and told CBS that after watching the documentary Earthlings she decided that she did not want to participate in the cruelty anymore.
